Mr. Tom Albrecht and his wife, Cindy, were unanimously chosen by the Library Trustees from an array of distinguished candidates to be our Henry & Betsey Crandall Award recipients. Like Henry and Betsey Crandall, the Albrecht’s story is a testament to the power of faith, family, and community.

Cindy and Tom’s myriad of volunteer contributions include serving on the Chamber of Commerce Board, chairing the CROP WALK, the House of Grace Board, the Adirondack Samaritan Counseling Center Board, the Key Club advisor at Hudson Falls High School, the Hudson Falls Library Board, the Glens Falls Kiwanis Club, and the “Can” people for the Open Door Mission.  They have been on many mission trips over the years; Tom going to Honduras; Cindy joyfully going on several purposeful missions with their grandson Cameron; and, Tom and Cindy going to New Orleans to assist with the cleanup from Hurricane Katrina.
