Welcome to the Teen Center!
If you are between the ages of 13 and 19, this is the place to socialize, do homework, and find books or other materials. If you have a library card in good standing, it’s also a place to use the Internet.
Questions? Call the Teen Center at 792.6508 ext. 7
- Mondays, 6-8: Tabletop Gaming
The Teen Center provides games and tabletops. You bring yourself and maybe a friend. Settlers of Catan, Love Letter, GhostBlitz, Tsuro, and other Euro-style board games. No previous gaming experience required. PLUS--we keep a selection of games in the room at all times, and we are always rotating them… if you can’t make it on Monday night, bring a friend and make your own game night.
- Tuesdays, 6-7: Readers Between the Lines
Our thematic Teen Book Group with a different theme* every week. You don't all have to read the same books, but you do have to love reading. And talking about reading. Obviously.
*“Good Book, Horrible Ending,” “That Escalated Quickly!,” “Blind Date with a Book,” you get the idea…
- Wednesdays, 6-8: Drop-In Cards Night
Interested in dueling games like Yu-Gi-Oh or Magic? Stop by the Teen Center Wednesday nights to compete against other teens or learn to play. An expert volunteer is on hand to teach new players--use Teen Center decks or bring your own. PLUS--A tournament and pizza party is held the last Wednesday of every month! PIZZA!
- Thursdays, 6pm: Reduced Teen Group
A social club for teens and our most popular, most offbeat, and most varied weekly group. The only requirements are that you be between the ages of 13-19 and respect your fellow members. We do cosplay, booktalks, fieldtrips, play acting games, put on plays and more.
