Web Catalog
As the use of our Web Catalog increases, a record number of items are being requested on-line. Here is some information on how the reserve system works. Hope this will help us get your items to you as quickly as possible.
Did you know...
- If you place your own requests for items, you can also check on-line to see if they have arrived for you.
- If you place a request for an item that is available at Crandall Library that item will not be immediately held for you. A list of items requested is only generated Monday-Friday at 9 AM. Available items may be checked out by other patrons before we search for them or may in fact be missing.
- By placing your own request you have eliminated the notification paperwork filled out at the Reference Desk. You will be responsible for checking your account to see if items have arrived.
- Once an item is on hold for a patron, we only hold that item for one week. After that time, it may go to the next request, return to our shelves, or be sent back to the owning library.
- If "time is of the essence" a call to the Reference Desk may be your best choice.
