Web Catalog

As the use of our Web Catalog increases, a record number of items are being requested on-line. Here is some information on how the reserve system works. Hope this will help us get your items to you as quickly as possible.

Did you know...

  1. If you place your own requests for items, you can also check on-line to see if they have arrived for you.
  2. If you place a request for an item that is available at Crandall Library that item will not be immediately held for you. A list of items requested is only generated Monday-Friday at 9 AM. Available items may be checked out by other patrons before we search for them or may in fact be missing.
  3. By placing your own request you have eliminated the notification paperwork filled out at the Reference Desk. You will be responsible for checking your account to see if items have arrived.
  4. Once an item is on hold for a patron, we only hold that item for one week. After that time, it may go to the next request, return to our shelves, or be sent back to the owning library.
  5. If "time is of the essence" a call to the Reference Desk may be your best choice.
